Mechanical Amusements From the Past

Posted in GETV Episode by ekai on the August 5th, 2007

Violet Blue visits the Musee Mecanique at Pier 45 in San Francisco for a refreshing, nostalgic trip through mechanical games of fun and fortune from the past. Some of these relics are downright morbid, others are delightfully funny. Violet takes us on a tour and relays a bit of the museum’s history.

That was charming, good feel episode. Every local vlogger out there should copy this kind of techno mech sort of feature in their feeds. Really simple but legit in terms of local historic significance. I guess I’d rather watch Violet Blue than Chuck Olsen all the time. Just joking. The video was well shot (white balance lighting, editing, pacing- yeah). Anyhow this was a straightforward episode. PS the iPod launch day episode doesn’t load to a video iPod.

Just an update, The Musee Mecanique and Dan Zelinksy have a new web site. Take a look at when you have a chance.

A coffeehouse/movie theater near me in Hershey, PA has a laughing Sal on display. It used to be in the funhouse of HersheyPark. It’s the freaking creepiest thing I’ve ever seen.

    Great episode!
